Nano is useful for recording from your own perspective while keeping your hands free. Its small camera body suits travel and everyday activities, while the Vision Dock adds control and preview. Mounting position strongly affects framing, so record a short test before the main take.

Choosing the configuration
Choose storage around session length and opportunities to offload footage. Water protection differs between the camera alone and the assembly with Vision Dock. Do not apply the camera-only rating to the attached dock.
The 128GB Standard Combo has more nominal capacity than the 64GB option, useful when frequent offloading is impractical. Choosing more storage does not itself improve camera image quality.
Before an important session, test recording format, stabilisation, available storage and sound with a short sample. Copy footage before deleting files or formatting storage.
Getting more from this model
Osmo Nano captures hand movements and the wearer's perspective while keeping hands free. Position on clothing or a compatible mount determines how much of your hands and surroundings enters the frame. Use Vision Dock to check that clothing does not cover the lens and that movement does not change the angle. Alternate POV moments with calmer views for a travel story; this is easier to watch than a continuous unbroken recording. A short test is particularly useful in tight spaces because the wide lens includes more nearby objects than expected without a preview.

What differs between 64GB and 128GB?
Nominal internal capacity. The 128GB version holds more material between transfers; sensor and resolution remain the same. Usable space is lower than nominal capacity.
Can Vision Dock go underwater with the camera?
The separate camera is specified to 10m, while the camera-and-dock assembly is rated IPX4. Do not apply the camera's limits to the dock.
Does stabilization preserve the entire view?
RockSteady is electronic and compensates using a crop. Check the final field of view after selecting stabilization and aspect ratio.
