GEPRC EM3115 900KV is a brushless motor for an FPV build with matched propellers and power.
Selection and use
Check the 900KV marking when replacing an existing motor. Other KV versions in the same family may need a different battery and propeller combination.
Configuration and compatibility
Match the motor to battery voltage, propeller load, ESC current capability and arm mounting. KV describes its speed characteristic rather than guaranteed thrust or power. Check screw length to avoid contacting the windings. Test rotation direction with propellers removed, then fit the correct propeller to each arm.
Selection and installation details
GEPRC specifies EM3115 900KV for 6S LiPo and 8–10-inch propellers. Published mounting is 19×19mm with a 5mm shaft. Account for the motor’s size and weight in the build, not only KV. For a recreational filming drone with large props, compare current for the exact propeller and battery combination against the ESC limit, and check clearance around the frame.
Questions before buying
What does the KV value mean? KV describes the relationship between voltage and theoretical unloaded rotational speed. It is not wattage, current or lifting capacity. Thrust and consumption depend on the exact motor, propeller and battery combination.
Can I replace just one motor with a different KV version? For repairs, keep the motor configuration consistent. A different KV changes the power system’s behaviour and may require reconsidering voltage, propellers and tuning. Check the model and version already installed before ordering.
