Caddx Ratel 2 is an analog FPV camera for building or repairing an analog video system.
Selection and use
It is a pilot-view camera rather than a DJI O3/O4 module. Check mounting size and lens option; Ratel 2 and Baby Ratel 2 have different housings.
Configuration and compatibility
Match the camera, video transmitter and goggles to the same supported video system. Analog, DJI O3/O4 and Vista are not interchangeable labels. Installation requires checking power, connectors, cooling space and antenna mounting. Confirm which modules, cables and antennas this offer includes.
Selection and installation details
Ratel 2 uses a 1/1.8-inch Starlight sensor and WDR processing for a pilot view in scenes with contrasting brightness. For recreational flying or freestyle, frame fit and camera angle matter alongside sensor specifications. Check the supplied revision and its power diagram before connection. The analog path requires a compatible VTX and receiver; this camera alone does not add 4K recording to the drone.
Questions before buying
Does the camera include a video transmitter? The camera produces an image signal, while the VTX sends it to a receiver. Check the contents: a camera listing does not imply a complete system with a transmitter, antenna and goggles.
Why check the video format? Aspect ratio and PAL/NTSC settings need to suit the video path and display. An excessive camera angle or unsuitable format can make flying difficult even with a working signal. Adjust the mounting angle and check the image before flight.
