Detailed description
DJI Mavic Air 2 offers 4K/60fps video and up to 48MP photographs for landscapes and dynamic aerial filming.
DJI Air 2 (Fly More Combo)
Also listed as DJI Air 2, this folding drone suits creators who want smooth 60fps footage and a mechanically stabilised camera. Its 48MP photo mode is useful for detailed still subjects, while automated shooting modes help create repeatable camera movements.
Features and use
- 1/2-inch CMOS sensor
- 12MP or 48MP photographs
- Up to 4K/60fps video
- Three-axis mechanical gimbal
- Up to 34 minutes of flight in DJI tests
Choosing the configuration
Air 2 and Air 2S have different imaging systems: Air 2 uses a 1/2-inch sensor, rather than the 1-inch sensor in Air 2S. Compare lighting requirements and intended projects before checking the controller and batteries supplied with each bundle.
Fly More Combo suits trips involving repeated takes and organised charging between flights. Compare battery type and quantity, hub and bag against the actual offer contents.
Maximum endurance is measured under controlled conditions. Wind, temperature, settings, payload and battery condition affect results; keep a reserve for returning and landing.
The offer specifies three batteries. They enable repeat sessions after landing and swapping without changing camera performance. Keep charged and used packs separate so the next mission starts with the intended energy reserve.
Getting more from this model
Mavic Air 2 can build a travel film from wide views, controlled passes and moving-subject sequences. Use 4K/60fps for action and 48MP stills for a sufficiently bright, stable scene. Between takes, inspect the edges of the route: a tree or building can be close to the aircraft even when it is not in the middle of the image. Keep lighting direction and white balance consistent for a coherent edit. A short shot list helps spend battery time on useful material instead of searching for the next composition in the air.
Frequently asked questions
Does 240fps mean 4K recording?
No. 4K reaches 60fps; high-frame-rate slow motion uses Full HD.
Does it have the Air 2S one-inch sensor?
No. Mavic Air 2 uses a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor. Air 2S has a different camera and belongs to a different generation.
Does it detect side obstacles?
Its sensing covers forward, backward and downward directions. This is not omnidirectional coverage, so inspect the sideways path when orbiting a subject.
