Detailed description
DJI Mini 4K is a compact drone with 4K/30fps recording, a 12MP camera and a mechanical three-axis gimbal.
DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo
Mini 4K is suited to learning aerial filming, recording holidays and capturing landscape or property overview shots. The gimbal smooths camera movement and QuickShots provides automated filming patterns. It is a practical option when an easily carried camera matters more than advanced subject tracking.
Features and use
- 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and 12MP photos
- Up to 4K/30fps recording
- Three-axis mechanical stabilisation
- Up to 31 minutes of flight in DJI tests
- DJI O2 video transmission
Choosing the configuration
Mini 4K and Mini 4 Pro are different aircraft with different capabilities. Do not assume omnidirectional obstacle detection is included. Prepare a suitable microSD card and enough batteries for the planned filming session before travelling.
Fly More Combo suits trips involving repeated takes and organised charging between flights. Compare battery type and quantity, hub and bag against the actual offer contents.
Maximum endurance is measured under controlled conditions. Wind, temperature, settings, payload and battery condition affect results; keep a reserve for returning and landing.
The offer specifies three batteries. They enable repeat sessions after landing and swapping without changing camera performance. Keep charged and used packs separate so the next mission starts with the intended energy reserve.
Getting more from this model
Mini 4K is useful for learning aerial composition: an overview of a guesthouse, a shoreline or a travel route. With its wide camera, altitude and aircraft position change the composition more effectively than digital magnification. Leave space around the subject if you plan to crop a vertical clip for a phone. QuickShots can provide a short opening shot, while gentle manual passes connect the scenes. Review a take before moving to the next location so that pacing and framing can be corrected while you are still on site.
Frequently asked questions
How does it differ from Mini 2 SE?
Mini 4K records 4K/30fps, whereas Mini 2 SE reaches 2.7K/30fps. Both use a three-axis mechanical gimbal; the extra resolution helps with cropping and 4K viewing.
Does it have ActiveTrack or obstacle avoidance?
No. Downward positioning and QuickShots do not replace these features. Choose a clear route and keep watching the aircraft.
Can I edit the photographs?
JPEG and DNG RAW are available. RAW is useful for adjusting brightness and colour later; JPEG is convenient when you want a ready-to-share image.
